Renacci to challenge Sen. Sherrod Brown this fall

COLUMBUS, Ohio -

Congressman Jim Renacci came out on top of six other candidates seeking the Republican party's backing to run against incumbent Democrat, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown in November.

According to unofficial finals, Renacci received 47% of the vote, while Mike Gibbons got 32% and Melissa Ackison ended up with 13%

Brown was unopposed in the Democratic Primary.
