YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A Youngstown man who claimed to have been hit by a meteorite was arrested after violating a protection order.

Steven Hreen, 65, was arrested Wednesday at 11:48 p.m. behind a house at the 4200 block of Euclid Blvd.

According to the police report, Hreen was at his sister's house who has a protection order against him.

Officers say they found Hreen in the backyard wearing a hospital gown.

Hreen also had a black eye with a bandage on his forehead.

Hreen told officers he just left the hospital and had nowhere to go since he was homeless. Hreen added he was struck by a baseball-sized meteorite, according to the report.

The report says police arrested Hreen for violating a protection order.

Hreen was booked into the Mahoning County jail and appeared in court Thursday.
