Car shatters pole along Youngstown street

Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A Youngstown man needed medical attention after his car shattered a utility pole on a South Side street.

Forty-three-year-old George Huston told officers he lost control of his Toyota Camry on the 1000 block of High Street and ran into the pole.

Huston was taken to Mercy Health for treatment of neck pain.

The pole was so badly damaged police say FirstEnergy crews came out to replace it.

Police cited Huston for failing to control his vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
