What's been described as an ongoing feud between neighbors on Youngstown's South Side ended with cars crashing and one man being arrested, but not charged.

Daniel Morales, 60, of Cameron Avenue was booked into the Mahoning County jail Friday night after a man who lives down the street told police that Morales rammed his pickup truck into the back of his van while the neighbor, his wife, and five children were still in the van.

Morales, who told officers he had been having problems with the neighbors for two years, claims he had stopped his pickup truck at his home when the neighbor got out of his van and punched out the truck's passenger side window.

Morales said after going to his neighbor's home to confront him about the incident, Morales backed his truck into the van while attempting to leave.

The neighbor's wife told police that before her husband punched out the pickup truck's window, Morales had been tailgating their van, striking the van's bumper with his truck.

The police report does not indicate if anyone needed medical attention. The ages of the children are not included in the report.

Morales was booked into the county jail on a charge of felonious assault where he is being held until a video arraignment in Youngstown Municipal Court on Monday. Upon questioning Morales, it was determined that no charges should be filed at this time against him.
