Bicyclist in the hospital after getting hit by SUV in Liberty Township

LIBERTY TWP, Ohio -

A bicyclist is in the hospital after being struck by an SUV in Liberty Township Thursday night.

The crash happened on Belmont Avenue around 6:45 p.m.

Initial reports suggest the vehicle involved was a woman driving a gray Ford Escape.

A witness called dispatch saying, "She hit a guy, he's laying in the road." According to the 911 call, the witness was telling dispatch what happened and started yelling "Stop, stop, stop, you're going to hit him!"
