More than 15,000 people were without power at one point in Trumbull County on Monday.

By 7 a.m. Tuesday, FirstEnergy reported that that number had been whittled down to 99, and by 7:30 a.m. fewer than five outages were still being reported.

The utility blames a failed transmission line for the outages.

A spokesperson told 21 News the outages were caused by a 69,000-volt transmission line that went down in Vienna Township.

It's still unknown what caused the line to come down.
