Muscle Connection H.S. Football Preview: Warren Harding Raiders

Posted: Updated:

Warren Harding Raiders | Players: 79 | Offensive Starters: 7 | Defensive Starters: 7 | Seniors: 28

The Warren Harding football team is coming off a 2-7 record in 2017 and want to improve on that in a big way.

They return the majority of starters on both sides of the ball and have 28 seniors.

"This senior class has been on both ends of the spectrum," stated veteran coach Steve Arnold. Adding, this class went to the regional championship as sophomores and were part of a not so good season last year.

Leading the way is running back Kayron Adams who ran for more than 1,300 yards last season.

"He's a three-year starter at tailback and he's in that long line of great Warren running backs," said Arnold. Adding, the Raiders return four offensive linemen to pave the way calling them our "bread and butter."

On the outside, receivers Troy Jakubec, Jeremy Wilson Ja'kari Salter, and Chris Chew all return. "I think we got some weapons to get some things done," Arnold said.

Just like all teams, the Raiders have to stay healthy and take care of the football. "We can make plays, but we have to be unison all season," said Arnold who's team opens the season against Canton McKinley.
