Protecting K9 Heroes announced via Facebook on Wednesday that K9 Noras of the St. Clair Township Police Department, located in East Liverpool, Ohio, has been granted a Multi-Threat Ballistic Vest.

Donations to Protecting K9 Heroes are what made it possible for K9 Noras to receive the vest.

According to the post, K9 Noras is assigned to Officer Joshua Jackson of the St. Clair Township Police Department.

Noras is a two-year-old German Shepard certified in Patrol, Tracking, and Narcotics.

Protecting K9 Heroes informed that Noras enjoys going to work and playing with his siblings. He does not like being brushed, or the sound of chainsaws.

Along with the safety vest, K9 Noras also received a Naloxone (Narcan) Reversal Overdose Kit and a K9 Medical First Aid Kit.

According to Protecting K9 Heroes, the Multi-Threat Ballistic Vests are manufactured by Armor Express and weigh approximately 4-5 pounds based upon the ballistics level chosen by the handler.

Each vest is custom sized for each K9 and has a warranty of five years.
