Youngstown's 910th Airlift Wing to help with hurricane relief if needed

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

The 910th Airlift Wing in Youngstown has stated that they are more than prepared to help with hurricane relief efforts if need be.

Hurricane Florence is projected to cause an abundance of damage to the Carolina's as well as other states in the storm's path.

The storm began to hit land on Thursday and enormous rainfall and powerful winds are expected to continue for days to come.

Master Sgt. Bob Barko Jr. told 21 News, "As with past national emergencies, the 910th Airlift Wing stands ready to perform our airlift and aerial spray missions if needed. The wing has not received any taskings at this time but we are prepared to answer the call if and when it comes."

The 910th Airlift Wing has made it clear that they will not hesitate to provide help if they are called upon.
