We're gaining some more insight on the relationship between two of the victims in the triple homicide in New Castle.

"He's been here for a couple weeks now," said Lawrence Williams, father of victim Lawrence Cannon.

Cannon was a truck driver who moved from Oklahoma to New Castle looking for new work and was living with his father when the unthinkable happened; he was killed Monday night.

"Wife down there, but they were estranged, and I told him to come up here. He knows a lot of people here because he went to school here also," said Williams.

Cannon was working at the mines and in security for Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt games, while he had just become acquainted with Nicole Pumphrey who lived nearby.

Pumphrey was also shot to death along with her 10-year-old daughter Amariah Emery.

"Just became friends and that was pretty much it. I'm thinking just friends and getting to know each other. I'm hearing she hadn't lived there very long either," Williams said.

New Castle's police chief doesn't believe suspect Steven Procopio knew Cannon but Procopio used to babysit the children who were in the house at the time of the murders.

"With him (Cannon) being here a short time, I mean what was it about? For them to have so much anger and grief towards this young lady," Williams said.

Unanswered questions that many hope will someday come to light.
