Pennsylvania State Police identify drivers involved in fatal accident this morning

MAHONING TWP., Lawrence Co., Pa. -

A State Police crash reconstruction team is on the scene of a deadly head-on crash about two miles east of the state line in Lawrence County.

Pennsylvania State Police say that 34-year-old Justin Palmer of New Castle, died in the crash that occurred around 8:30 am Friday morning. 

Investigators say the two cars collided at Carbon Micco Road and Route 224 in Mahoning Township.

The driver of the other car, 35-year-old Jerald Essad of Youngstown, has been taken to Mercy Hospital in Youngstown.

According to police, Essad crossed the double yellow line and struck Palmer's vehicle head-on.
