Two men may face charges after employees from the Days Inn motel in Lisbon called police when they saw one of the suspects leave a room with his pants around his ankles around 9:00 a.m. Monday.

According to Mike Abraham, Lisbon Police Chief, officers found the man, 46-year-old Ben E. Eastham, behaving strangely behind the BP gas station next to the motel.

Eastham allegedly had a syringe on him and told police that he had been staying at the motel with a female who had rented the room but had left.

Lisbon police and members of the Columbiana County Drug Task Force went to Eastham's room where they encountered the second suspect, 24-year-old Kendall Lamont Smith, Jr.

Smith allegedly tried to shut the door when he saw the police officers but was prevented from doing so.

Abraham said, agents from the DTF found heroin and crack cocaine in Smith's pockets as well as around $1,400 in cash.

Abraham said both men, who are known to police as possible drug dealers, may face charges.
