Toy show draws hundreds in Girard

Posted: Updated:
GIRARD, Ohio -

The Toyhio Toy Show gave parents the opportunity to show kids the toys they played with as children.

The family-friendly event attracted about a thousand men, women and children to the Metroplex in Girard.

Thousands of collector's items and toys were on sale from Star Wars, and Star Trek to My Little Pony.

"This area we have a lot of G.I. Joe collectors and a lot of transformer collectors so we have a ton of G.I. Joes and Transformers. We also have Ninja Turtles, Masters of the Universe and stuff like that, Rich Fusselman, Toyhio co-promoter, said.

It is the second year the event has been held at the Metroplex Expo Center in Liberty Township.

The next Toyhio Toy Show is set for June 22nd at the same location.
