Multiple agencies called to control crowd after deadly shooting in Warren

WARREN, Ohio -

Warren police responded to a call about a man that had been shot Friday afternoon.

The black male was found lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to the head at an abandoned home on the 2100 block of Colonial Street SE around 4 pm.

A crowd estimated to be between 100 and 200 people came outside and gathered around the area where the man was laying.

According to initial reports from Trumbull dispatch, multiple agencies including Howland, Niles, and Weathersfield police were called to the scene to contain the crowd.

Initial reports say the scene was not cleared until around 7:40 pm.

Police do not know who shot the man and no shell casings were found at the scene.

Detectives told 21 News that this is a high crime area on Warren's south-east side.

There are no witnesses at this time.
