YSU's fashion department held the EveryBODY Fashion Show to honor a former student, Danielle Peters, who passed away in 2012 from an eating disorder.

Jennifer Frank, a professor of fashion at YSU, said it's important to advocate for body positivity in the fashion industry.

"It's really important to show models of all shapes and sizes. We want everyone to feel beautiful. Beauty is not your size; it's what's in your heart," said Frank.

Wednesday evening's fashion show was held at Kilcawley Center.

More than 200 people were at the free event.

Seventy models of all ages, shapes, and sizes walked the runway in looks including wedding gowns, sportswear and business casual from TJ Maxx and TLC Bridal in Boardman.

The name of the fashion show serves as a reminder to the students studying fashion that it's for everyone.

"Size does not matter, and we stress that in every class that we have," said Frank.
