Two alleged vicious dogs running loose in Braceville are back home with their owner.

The two German Shepherds accused of attacking a neighborhood cat were found behind the Holiday Inn on Route 5 around 7:30 pm on Wednesday.

Harry Depietro, the attorney for owner David Hanson, said that they reviewed the latches and locks on the kennels and changes will be made Thursday to make them more secure.

The dogs are currently inside the garage and not in the outside pen.

The attorney said that the latches meet the Ohio Revised Code standards, but they want something better.

On Tuesday, 21 News showed the surveillance video to Depietro.

"I saw two black dogs with pointy ears, similar in shape to German Shepherds. I did not see in this video; however the distinctive markings that Mr. (David) Hanson's dogs have that I know them to have," said Depietro.

Police say the two dogs are the same ones accused of attacking a woman near Venture Plastics on Ravenna-Warren Road in January 2018. There were three dogs in that attack.

Depietro said there's been no proof that attack was caused by his client's dogs. He said other large dogs were also loose in the area during that time. They've legally challenged a designation naming the dog's "vicious."
