According to the Ohio EPA, there is no spill in the Niles waterway where the Trumbull County's HazMat team and the Ohio EPA were called to investigate on Sunday night.

The Ohio EPA has determined that there was no spill and after daylight provided the on-scene coordinator a better view of the waterway, it was determined that no oil was present in the creek.

According to the Ohio EPA, there was a buildup of organic matter and algae on the creek, which is a natural condition and that it closely resembled degraded petroleum.
