Mother's Day weekend will get underway on a cool and dry note Saturday. With sunshine gradually fading behind increasing high clouds, temperatures will struggle up into the lower 60s in the afternoon. Showers will arrive during the overnight hours.
Sunday will not be a true washout but showers could occur at anytime. The raindrops may be most numerous early in the day and again late in the day. Temperatures are expected to be about 10 degrees cooler-than-average.
The unseasonably cool weather will stick around for a few days next week. Showers will also be a possibility Monday through Wednesday.
