Warren mother maces family during fight

Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Ohio -

A Warren man is behind bars after a fight with members of his family.

The incident happened Monday on the 830 block of Vine Avenue around 9 p.m.

Police say they arrived on scene and found 18-year-old Termaine McCall acting as if he was in pain.

According to the report, McCall has a group of friends around him that told police that McCall was assaulted at his mother's house.

Officers say an ambulance was called to the scene to treat McCall while officers went to his mother's house to get her side of the story.

Reports say McCall's mother told police that he had assaulted his younger brother and said that they had probable cause to arrest him for domestic violence.

Police say they placed McCall into custody and spoke with him about the fight.

McCall told police that he was going to the house to retrieve marijuana that he had there and became angry with his mother when she said she didn't know where his marijuana was.

According to the report, McCall left his mother's house for a short time before coming back and finding all his property on the front porch. McCall told police that his mother said she wanted him to leave but still had his food stamp card.

Officers say McCall went to get his card, starting an argument with his mother and his younger brother.

Reports say McCall's brother jumped off the front porch during the argument and took a swing at him while McCall's stepdad put him in a choke hold.

Police say McCall's mother sprayed everyone with pepper spray to break up the fight.

Termaine McCall was arrested on a domestic violence charge and placed in Trumbull County Jail.
