Cornersburg Italian Specialties wins first annual Business Spotlight Award

Posted: Updated:
CORNERSBURG, Ohio -

Cornersburg Italian Specialties has been around for 40 years and was awarded the Business Spotlight Award by the city of Youngstown on Friday.

The brand new award was given out for the first time, and it is a way for the city to highlight the business and help bring them more success.

"It's really important to recognize our businesses. We have to let them know we appreciate them being here, and we appreciate the investment that they make, and we want to help them be successful," said Lauren McNally, 5th Ward City Councilwoman. "And part of them being successful is giving them the exposure that they need to let the residents and the surrounding communities know that they are here."

Tony Tringhese, the co-owner of the business, said they plan to expand more into catering in the future for events such as weddings, baby showers, and luncheons.
