Bond set at $2 million for Sharon murder suspect

Posted: Updated:
MERCER, Pa. -

Bond has been set at $2,000,000 for the woman charged in the shooting death of a Sharon father in late May.

Alexis Holmes of New Castle is scheduled to appear again in court on June 26.

Holmes was arrested with a male suspect on Wednesday after the homicide of 24-year-old Khalil Hopson.

Hopson was shot inside of his Cedar Avenue home on May 23 and later died at the hospital.

The two were picked up at a hotel on North Canfield Avenue in Youngstown after officials heard they might have fled from Pennsylvania to Youngstown.

Holmes is facing charges, including criminal homicide, robbery, and burglary. Robinson faces a charge of possession of a firearm.

According to an affidavit from Holmes, she says that on May 23, she was at Hopson's home, and they later went onto the porch.

Holmes said that while outside, three males rushed the porch holding guns.

One man allegedly held her at gunpoint on the porch, and the other followed Hopson into the house, the affidavit stated.

According to Holmes, she later heard a gunshot.

She said the man holding her at gunpoint ran, and she did as well.

Officials continued investigating, and during a search warrant, police said they found a phone with text messages between Holmes and Robinson that showed them allegedly discussing a robbery of Hopson for several thousands of dollars.
