Lay's chips recalled due to undeclared milk ingredients

Posted: Updated:

Frito-Lay had issued a voluntary recall for their 7 and 3/4 ounce bags of Lay's Lightly Salted Barbecue Flavored Potato Chips.

The company says that it is because the chips may contain undeclared milk ingredients.

The recall was issued after the company discovered that bags of the barbecue chips were filled with another flavor of potato chips.

The recalled products have both a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of 27 AUG 2019 and a nine-character manufacturing code that includes the numbers “29” in the second and third position (example: x29xxxxxx) listed below the “Guaranteed Fresh” date.

The numbers can be found on the right side of the front of the bag.

Frito-Lay has not had any reports of people getting sick from the product.
