Hiring for new Boardman Michaels starting Saturday

BOARDMAN, Ohio -

Hiring for the new Michaels store on Doral Drive in Boardman starts Saturday and will continue through July 12. 

The store said it is looking to hire fun, highly friendly, curious and hard-working temporary team members who will have the opportunity to stay on long-term as cashiers, sales team members, personal designers, stocking team members, or return for seasonal positions. 

Michaels rebranded last month and plans to reopen the Pat Catan's Arts & Crafts store on Doral Drive as a Michaels Store.

Employees this summer will help with set-up and grand opening events at the Boardman location.  

Michaels team members benefit from competitive wages, flexible hours and a 30 percent discount.

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is North America's largest specialty provider of arts, crafts, framing, floral, wall décor, and seasonal merchandise for Makers and do-it-yourself home decorators.

Hundreds of workers are being sought for eleven different Michaels stores across the country.

    Students in YSU's Master of Athletic Training and Physical Therapy programs worked with local EMS to take part in a simulated helicopter rescue scenario Friday.
