Oak Street Extension in Youngstown closed

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

Oak Street Extension in Youngstown has been closed between Early Road and Lamar Avenue.

A press release states the reason for the closure as emergency roadway repairs.

The closure is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice. 

Officials say repairs are expected to be completed within the next few days. 

A detour will be posted.

    Senior Mahoning County Deputy Dog Warden Dave Nelson said the kittens were found in the Rockford Village Apartments, off McGuffy Road. He said there's a couple streets in that area animal officials have been monitoring and these kittens are potentially a red flag.
