A Youngstown man has been sentenced for a shooting death at a city bar.

Johnny Wallace III, 24, who was convicted of murdering of 45-year-old Colin Brown, appeared before a judge in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on Thursday where he was sentenced to serve 21 years to life in prison.

Brown's body was found in the bathroom of the Last Call Bar and Grille on South Avenue in November 2017.

In June 2018, Wallace's case had been declared a mistrial after a verdict was not reached after about a day and a half of deliberation.

Youngstown police say that they found Wallace staying with his girlfriend at a home on the South Side.

When police identified Wallace as a suspect in the crime, they circulated a jail booking photo in which he was wearing dreadlocks.

By the time they caught up with him at his girlfriend's South Side home, Wallace was sporting a short haircut.
