More than 60 people displaced after flooding in Kinsman

Posted: Updated:
Kinsman Township -

There are 66 people displaced from their homes after intense flooding devastated parts of Kinsman Township.

That flooding took out gas and power lines and washed away a bridge on Lakeview Drive after storms rolled through the Valley early shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday morning.

The 66 people who have been displaced populate the 30 houses on Lakeview Drive.

Officials say that there will be at least three more weeks of damage assessment and it could be several months before the roads to those houses are rebuilt.

There were 23 fire departments from three counties who responded to the disaster and helped get those people, and their pets to safety Saturday.
