Man arrested in child porn investigation has bond increased

Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A Youngstown man arrested in a child porn investigation last week had his bond increased on Tuesday.

Nicholas Yukon, 29, was taken into custody after SWAT Team members and the FBI armed with long guns surrounded his home in the 300 block of South Hazelwood Avenue.

When Youngstown police and the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force initially arrived on South Hazelwood, they said Yukon refused to come out, so they had to force their way into the home.

They believe he may have been trying to destroy evidence.

The prosecutor approved detectives entering the home, and Yukon was promptly arrested on charges of tampering with evidence and obstructing official business.

A Youngstown judge raised Yukon's bond to $47,000 after new information came forward in the case, and his criminal history was not presented during his initial arraignment, according to court documents.

BCI is still investigating what was found inside the home.
