The injury bug has bitten the Youngstown State football team again.

Wide receiver Darius Shackleford is out for the season after tearing his ACL during Saturday's first practice.

Coach Bo Pelini confirmed the injury following Wednesday's practice.

"He tore his A-C-L and we think he'll get a year back," said the fifth-year coach, "It was kind of a weird play, he just got tied up on the sidelines. He's down, but he'll recover."

Shackleford made four starts in 2018 and played in ten games. He caught 11 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns.
