A new initiative at Youngstown State University allows students to use an exercise bike while studying at the library.
It is Maag Library's new "fit desks" idea, which was acquired this summer.
Students can get a physical workout while getting their brain working too.
YSU officials say this is an excellent option for students coming back from summer break.
"This gives the students the opportunity not to have to choose between having to spend an hour at the gym or having to be at the library studying and preparing for their classes. They can burn hundreds of calories while they're studying here at the library," said Ana Torres, the Co-director and Head of Library Services and Operations.
The school has four bikes so far, and they plan to add another six to use on almost all floors of the library, including the silent floors.
