Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A Youngstown woman has been charged with the stabbing death of a man on the city's east side.

The Mahoning County Grand Jury handed up a three count indictment Thursday for 32-year-old Ashley Eiland.

She is accused of fatally stabbing 36-year-old Eugene Jones Jr. in June.

Police found Jones inside a Kendis Circle apartment on the bathroom floor.

Ashley Eiland was previously charged with endangering children in August 2018 after police discovered an unbearable odor at her home.

Police said there were three small children in the home at the time of the incident.

The residence was filled with garbage and police said there were dirty beds and dead flies in the residence.

According to the indictment, Eiland faces two counts of murder and one count of felonious assault.
