Crews battle tractor-trailer fire on I-80 in Mercer County - WFMJ.com News weather sports for Youngstown-Warren Ohio

Firefighters were called out Thursday morning to put out flames that erupted on a tractor-trailer.

The Mercer East End Fire Department was dispatched to the 18-mile marker of Interstate 80 where a wheel on the driver's side of a trailer hauling cardboard caught fire in the westbound lanes shortly before 6 a.m.

The fire is one mile west of the Interstate 79 interchange.

State Police said they don't know if traffic is being impacted by the fire.
