A Columbus woman has been accused of throwing a car seat with her baby strapped in while visiting her child's father in Youngstown.

According to the report, 25-year-old Deneisha Dickson was at a home on the 2700 block of Hammaker Street, where she got into an argument with her child's father, who left the house before the incident.

Police say three separate witnesses at the home told officers that Dickson picked up the car seat with her 9-month-old daughter inside and threw it approximately 10 feet.

The report says the witnesses would not let Dickson leave when she tried to take her baby with her after the alleged incident.

According to the report, Dickson told police that the car seat fell when she pulled a blanket out from under it.

The officer on the scene and medical personnel checked the baby and found her to be without evident injury.

Dickson was placed under arrest for child endangering and is being held in the Mahoning County Jail.

Children's Services was contacted regarding the situation.
