Boys basketball standout Sharrod Taylor put on a clinic in Chaney's sectional final win over Edgewood.
On a night where he tallied 30 points, the senior leader also reached the 1,000 point mark for his career.
The milestone came during the first quarter of the contest on a breakaway layup.
Taylor knocked down six 3's in a 91-43 victory,
Josiah Gonzalez, Cam Lawrence and Clive Wilson also reached double figures.
Despite not playing their first game until December 30th, the Cowboys are in midseason form, having won six of their last seven.
They improve to 10-6, and will host West Branch next Thursday.
