Hillshire Brands is recalling its Hillshire Farm branded Smoked Sausage ropes due to the presence of bone fragments in the product reported to the USDA.
The affected product is the 14-oz package containing one rope of sausage, labeled "Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage made with pork, turkey, beef," and were sold in 7 states, including Pennsylvania. The packaging also bear the establishment number EST. 756A.
One oral injury was reported related to the issue, according to the USDA.
Consumers who have purchased the product are urged not to consume them, and should instead throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
