WARREN, Ohio -

A Warren woman has learned her fate on Monday after pleading guilty to kicking a police officer in the chest.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 21-year-old Sydney Peterman was sentenced to one year in prison on a charge of assault in the fourth degree, as well as charges of disrupting public services.

The charges stem from an incident where prosecutor's say Peterman kicked a police officer in the chest.

Due to Peterman's long criminal record beginning when she was just 13 years old, Judge Cynthia Rice ruled that she was not eligible for probation and would have to serve her sentence at the Ohio Reformatory for Women.
