 Investigators say they have no reason to believe there was anything suspicious behind a fire that gutted a business in East Liverpool over the weekend.

However, what caused a fire to break out in Gina’s Drive-thru Sunday afternoon is still being investigated by the state fire marshal.

Declared a total loss, the building at 1147 Pennsylvania Avenue became engulfed in flame.

The one employee who was working at the time of the fire was unharmed.

Pennsylvania Avenue had to be shut down during the fire but has since reopened.

Flames gutted a business in East Liverpool Sunday afternoon.
