LISBON, Ohio -

A Salem woman could be sentenced to up to three years in prison after pleading guilty to leaving the scene of an accident that killed a woman as she walked along a road in Columbiana County.

Patricia Phillips, 30, pleaded guilty on Monday to one felony count of leaving the scene of an accident.

Investigators say Phillips was driving a pickup truck that struck 46-year-old Brandy Lynn Lasky as she was walking along Route 344 in Perry Township early on the morning of March 11, 2022.

Sentencing for Patricia Phillips is scheduled for June 6.

Patricia’s sister, Brandy Phillips, who police say gave them false information about the accident, was placed on probation for three years after pleading guilty earlier to obstructing justice.

According to her obituary, Lasky was a 1994 graduate of Salem High School, a mom, and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
