Over the counter contraceptive now available at Rite Aids nationwide

The first over the counter daily contraceptive for women is now available nationwide at Rite Aid.

Opill, a progestin-only, birth control pill, is available over the counter at a retail price of $19.99 for a one-month supply and $49.99 for a three-month supply.

"Carrying an over-the-counter FDA-approved birth control pill is an important step in increasing access to reproductive health products and services for women," said Karen Staniforth, Senior Vice President, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Rite Aid.

There are no restrictions for purchasing Opill, which can also be bought on Rite Aid's website.
