Howland's Heckman commits to United States Naval Academy

Howland High School wrestling standout Adam Heckman has officially committed to further his academic and wrestling career at the prestigious United States Naval Academy. With an outstanding track record both on and off the mat, Heckman brings a wealth of talent, dedication, and leadership to his new endeavor.

Heckman's wrestling achievements speak volumes about his prowess in the sport. His list of accomplishments includes setting the Single Season Takedown Record at Howland with an impressive 276 takedowns, earning him the 30th All-Time spot in the OHSAA records. He boasts a Career Record of 132-24 and has secured two State Placements (4th and 2nd), demonstrating his consistency and skill on the mat. Moreover, Heckman has been recognized for his academic excellence with two Academic All-Ohio honors. His dedication and talent have been further acknowledged with two AAC and EOWL Wrestler of the Year awards, along with six tournament titles, including MVP honors at prestigious events such as Tool City, Top Gun, HIT, and EOWL.

 

As Heckman embarks on this new chapter of his academic and athletic journey, the Howland community eagerly anticipates witnessing his continued success and contributions to the proud tradition of the United States Naval Academy.
