The score is one thing but the work put in is the most important.

Bright sunshine and fall like temperatures greeted more than 100 players who played in the Red/White game at Stambaugh Stadium.

"We wanted fundamental techniques and no pre snap or post snap penalties and we wanted to take care of the football," said coach Doug Phillips.

There were two turnovers in the game including one on special teams.

"We made some mistakes in those areas and we have to continue to get better there," continued Phillips.

Beau Brungard will be pushed at quarterback by Brady Shannon, who's been away from football for two seasons after committing to Central Florida for baseball.

Shannon was 4 of 11 for 10 yards and rushed for 52 yards. Brungard was 9 of 17 for 89 yards passing.
