Howland joins Eastern Buckeye Conference for football only

The Howland football program have found a conference.

After years of playing an independent schedule the Tigers were formally accepted to join the Eastern Buckeye Conference for football only starting in 2026.

21 Sports first reported this was a possibility in January.

The EBC includes Salem, West Branch, Alliance, Carrollton, Marlington and Minerva.

"We're happy to Howland and seven teams which is better than six," said league president Jim Carmichael.
