Authorities have released the name of a woman whose body was found in her burning home in Unity Township earlier this month.

The Columbiana County Coroner tells 21 News that toxicology reports are pending in the death of 85-year-old Dorothy Gorby before a cause of death can be determined.

The woman’s body was found inside her burning home on the 49000 block of McClure Road early on the morning of May 9, 2024.

The cause of the fire is still being sought by the State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigations Bureau.
