Former Canfield track star Nick Plant qualifies for USA Olympic Trials

Former Canfield track standout Nick Plant has qualified for the USA Olympic Trials later this month.
He qualified for the 800-meter run by running a time of 1:46:35. This time places him in the top 36 in the country and was enough for him to qualify.
Nick has won two state championships in the 800-meter race and took home the Ohio Track and Field Player of the Year award in his time at Canfield. He then continued his racing career at Virginia Tech and won the ACC Freshman of the Year in 2023.
Plant will compete in the trials which will be held in Eugene, Oregon. The events will start on June 21st and the trials conclude on June 30th.
