The Guardians found themselves in an early deficit as the Giants claimed a 4-0 lead.
Josh Naylor got the team on the board with a solo shot and his 21st home run of the season. Cleveland added one more run later on when Andres Gimenez hit a sac fly to bring Naylor home but the comeback attempt falls short as the giants take it 4-2.
The Guardians now move to 54-32 and hold a six game lead in the AL Central.
Cleveland will take on the Giants again with a chance to even up the series Saturday. First pitch is at 4:05pm
