Cardinal Mooney, Ursuline joining the Ohio Catholic Athletic Con - WFMJ.com News weather sports for Youngstown-Warren Ohio

Cardinal Mooney & Ursuline are joining six other catholic schools to form the Ohio Catholic Athletic Conference that'll start in the fall of 2026.

It'll be a football only conference with future plans to compete in all sports.

Schools in the league for its first year include:

Cardinal Mooney

Ursuline

Akron Saint Vincent Saint Mary

Cleveland Villa Angela St. Joe's

Columbus Bishop Hartley

Columbus Bishop Watterson

Columbus St. Francis DeSales

Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit

 

According to the schools the unique partnership allows them the opportunity to showcase their  prowess in the athletic realm and their acumen in the classroom.
