Two pharmacy chains in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys are taking appointments for updated COVID vaccines.
CVS and Walgreens have received the updates shots.
You can search on the Walgreens website for an appointment to schedule an appointment.
CVS is offering the vaccines at Pharmacy and MinuteClinic locations and appointments can be made online.
The updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 and flu vaccines are available nationwide.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends people ages six months and older should get the updated vaccines. The CDC says the ideal time to get the shot is in September or October.
Its also recommended that patients get the flu and COVID vaccines at the same time.
