HOWLAND, Ohio -

Trumbull County Commissioners are scheduled to hear a petition to annex a storage unit in Howland into the City of Warren Wednesday afternoon.

County Commissioner Rick Hernandez tells 21 News commissioners are scheduled to meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday to hear the petition to annex the property located at 3942 Youngstown Road in Howland into the City of Warren.

The site is owned by Extra Space Storage, a storage company based out of Salt Lake City, Utah with several locations in the Valley including Youngstown, Boardman, Austintown, Niles and Hermitage.

Hernandez tells 21 News the owner of the property is looking to add more storage units to it, which will cause it to bleed into the City of Warren.

Hernandez says the proposal is expected to go smoothly adding that he has not heard any opposition to the annexation.
