POLICE: Man allegedly shot at on Youngstown's south side - WFMJ.com News weather sports for Youngstown-Warren Ohio

Police were called to Youngstown's south side after reports of a man being shot at early Friday morning.

According to a police report, the victim was walking on the 100 Block of East Lucius Avenue near Cottage Grove around 1 a.m. when he heard someone say "hey you."

The man told police he saw a black sedan going by with four people inside and heard approximately four gunshots before running away.

The man told police he believed the people were shooting at him because no one else was outside at the time. 

Despite the man's reports, police say they did not find any shell casings anywhere, nor did they receive a ShotSpotter activation.

No suspects have been named and no charges have been filed yet.
