One woman is hospitalized, and another is in jail following an overnight shooting on the city's East Side.

Police told 21 News that a woman was shot in the leg early Friday on Eastway Drive. A female suspect was arrested in connection with the shooting.

Investigators said the shooting stemmed from a fight between the two women in the Brier Hill neighborhood on Thursday.

Detectives have not yet released the names of the victim and the suspect.
