NILES, Ohio -
A 23-year-old Niles man has pled guilty to third-degree robbery after stealing $117 from a Speedway gas station.
Lance T. Holbrook could face up to three years in prison once a background check is completed by probation officers.
According to prosecutors there was video evidence of Holbrook in the gas station around 11:30 p.m. in March of 2025.
The video allegedly shows Holbrook handing the cashier a note claiming Holbrook had both a bomb and a gun. The clerk then handed Holbrook $117 and hit the store's silent alarm.
After his arrest Niles detectives say he confessed to the crime during questioning.
